Captions and figure numbering checklist
Keep figures and tables consistent, cited in text, and ready for lists of figures/tables.
- Caption text uses Insert Caption (or equivalent fields)
- Numbering scheme chosen and applied everywhere
- Every figure/table mentioned in the body text
- Placement matches handbook (above/below)
- Sources credited for reused images/tables
- List of figures/tables updated after final edits
- Resolution high enough for print if required
